Ferrari self-destructs at Monza: Hamilton criticizes Leclerc and Vasseur, demands clear internal racing rules

Ferrari arrived at Monza, their home race, with hopes of a strong result. Charles Leclerc started third and Lewis Hamilton fourth, but the opening lap turned into a disaster. At Turn 2, the two Ferrari drivers fought each other, Hamilton was forced off track, and Leclerc was later involved in an accident that ended his race. More importantly, he aimed criticism at team principal Fred Vasseur, arguing that Ferrari lacks clear internal rules for wheel-to-wheel battles between teammates. Hamilton recalled his time at Mercedes with Nico Rosberg. He said Mercedes had written rules of engagement, which prevented most serious conflicts. He believes Ferrari must introduce similar guidelines so that both drivers know their limits. Without them, Hamilton warned, the team will keep repeating the same mistakes and lose more ground in the title fight. The incident at Monza exposed a deeper organizational issue. Great drivers alone cannot guarantee success if the structure around them is unclear. Hamilton has now asked Ferrari to make a change. The real test is whether the team's leadership will listen and implement clear rules before the season slips away.
